Hello, everyone.....I am NOT a newbie but never had this come up before and I am very confused and hope someone can help me out.

My sister and I booked a cruise for December on the Conquest. Just sitting around one day, checked MY special offers and found I had a Casino Offer. Called my sister, she checked HERS and she ALSO had a Casino Offer so I went to her house, we chose a cruise and I called Carnival and we booked it. So a week or two later, SHE gets a Casino Offer in the mail that says $40 Casino credit if you book by, blah, blah, and sail by blah, blah, which is what we DID. I have not received anything in the mail, so tonight I went to her house, we called Carnival and was told ONLY THE PERSON WHO IS THE FIRST NAME ON THE RESERVATION GETS THE CASINO CREDIT..../SIZE] REALLY? I explained that we have booked this way before, (both of us having a Casino Rate in our special offers) and usually we BOTH have something either in the mail or an email to take to the casino cage on the first night to get our credit. The lady insisted ONLY the first named person gets the casino cash.

Does anyone know if this is something new? By the end of the phone call, the lady said, "Well, you MIGHT get cash too, but probably not" and she switched me over to the Casino Dept. After being on hold for 25 minutes, I hung up and decided I would ask HERE and then maybe call my old Travel Agent. (Gee, I wish she hadn't changed jobs! She knew everything!)

So....can anyone help me out here? I have plenty of time before I cruise. Just trying to find out things while I DO have a lot of time and I am still excited about booking :)

We still have to find out how to use her credits from her Carnival MasterCard, but I have been on the phone with Carnival way too much between booking this cruise and now asking about the credit that I am almost ready to just say skip it and go ahead and give another cruise line a try. The phone people are very nice but very frustrating and NOT always well informed.

Thanks for any help or suggestions............

Sue

If you did not get the offer in your name then you are not eligible for it. My wife has received casino cash and I haven't. All offers are based on time and $'s spent, so unless both of you have always spent the same amt in the casino you will not get the same offers.

Thanks.....yes, we BOTH got the Casino offers that say you get casino cash AND a 'special' price on your cruise. We have had these before.....that is usually when we book. We have NEVER had anyone tell us that only the first name on the reservation got the casino cash.

I think I will call back when I have more time to hang on the phone or try an email.

Thanks for your help. :)
