Disappointed by Label-West

We were a group of 8 people who sailed on the Celebrity Silhouette transatlantic and booked a tour of Giverny and Rouen from Label-West on May 1 . The tour description stated we would have a 'driver/ guide'..This did not happen. Our 'driver' was a very nice man, but not a guide. He didn't know the names or purposes of any public buildings we passed. He didn't know where to park the mini van at Giverney, his excuse for not knowing where to park, was, that he said he only drove a bus before & didn't know any other parking area,& then he dropped us off with no instruction as to where anything was located, how to purchase tickets or anything else. He disappeared to have coffee, & reappeared 90 minutes later while we were all standing in the rain waiting for him.. He had no suggestions of places to lunch, didn't want to go to Rouen because he thought the traffic would be bad due to boat races on May 1. This should have been disclosed to us by Label-West when we booked the trip and alternative places should have been suggested. When we urged him, he did a drive through, but again, had no knowledge of the buildings or the history of the area. The best part of the day, was the last hour when he dropped us off, with no directions , in Honfleur.

All of us , who went that day felt cheated. We requested a partial refund from Label West but were denied any adjustment of the tour price.
