What's Better freestyle or DD? Which color is better? Red, or blue? I will tell you that if Cocacola is your thing, you'll be disappointed to know that NCL has Pepsi products onboard

cocacola86 Posted May 31, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted May 31, 2015 That's what I want, I've only sailed Carnival but have a cruise booked on RC but I've heard good things on NCL on cruise radio, they had people talk about the Gem and the Jade. pfm18 Posted May 31, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 31, 2015 I love Royal but am giving Jade a try because of the ports. Let's see how it goes :)

smartpeach Posted May 31, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 31, 2015 If you like to order from room service, then better go with RCCL. NCL has started charging $7.95 on room service.
cocacola86 Posted May 31, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted May 31, 2015 I know they ditched taking food away, do you find NCL nickels and dimes you.
monkeybone Posted May 31, 2015 #11 Share Posted May 31, 2015 Were trying the Anthem. Me too I can't wait! I have only sailed with NCL. I am also looking at a few Carnival ships.
cocacola86 Posted May 31, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted May 31, 2015 We've had 3 with Carnival, and 1 upcoming with RC. We like food options and not the same everyday and a variety of restaurants. So what's the difference between Dynamic Dining and Freestyle?
PamJack Posted May 31, 2015 #13 Share Posted May 31, 2015 I haven't been either one yet, so I'm interested in this thread. We have one booked on RC in April.

pfm18 Posted May 31, 2015 #15 Share Posted May 31, 2015 Is one class on NCL better than another, like on RC? It goes Epic class Breakaway class Jewel class Dawn class Pride of America Spirit class Sun class
cocacola86 Posted May 31, 2015 Author #16 Share Posted May 31, 2015 Carnival the Spirit class is better than the Conquest class, only because the galley takes up room. So out of the NCL class which is better
jchris1230 Posted May 31, 2015 #17 Share Posted May 31, 2015 I know they ditched taking food away, do you find NCL nickels and dimes you. They reversed that policy last week
ColinIllinois Posted May 31, 2015 #18 Share Posted May 31, 2015 (edited) I know they ditched taking food away, do you find NCL nickels and dimes you. "Nickel and dimes you" is a phrase that will never pertain to you as long as you do your research and are aware of various on board charges. I think that it's hard to compare cruise line to cruise line in general. I think a specific ship comparison would be more helpful. Either way, both lines are enjoyable. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with either. :) Edited May 31, 2015 by ColinIllinois

cocacola86 Posted May 31, 2015 Author #21 Share Posted May 31, 2015 No, always wanted to, but DW only drinks Diet Coke so that doesn't help. But I do like the promotions they offer, right now we're booked on the Anthem, we booked at 1716 pp to Bermuda and Boston in a balcony, we booked before the price went up about 8 percent. I don't like Pepsi, but I think we would have a great cruise either way. I know your probably think why am I on the NCL cruise, we'll always do your homework and do you prefer bigger or smaller? Granny DI Posted May 31, 2015 #22 Share Posted May 31, 2015 We like both of them. We prefer the suites on NCL but the balconies on RCL.
cocacola86 Posted May 31, 2015 Author #23 Share Posted May 31, 2015 What do you like about the suites? Which ones do you book and what do you get with them? We had an OS on Carnival and all you get is Priority boarding.

We had an OS on Carnival and all you get is Priority boarding. Google NCL Breakaway Haven Aft suite 12304. The Haven is amazing. We've cruised in Grand and Owners suites on RCL but think the Haven afts are superior. We also like eating in specialty restaurants because after 30+ cruises we are done with the MDR on all cruise ships. NCL does specialty better than any cruiseline.
