Jasalth Posted June 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2015 (edited) Thank you all for anyone who has been there in the recent past! Going to the caves and such in Lucayan National Park in Freeport is my big thing to do on our August cruise. Alas one issue has come up. My son will be having knee surgery soon and it can't wait until after our cruise. :( Has anyone who has been there recently remember how the paths were? The doctors say he only needs 4 weeks until full recovery to do everything he did before the surgery, but I am wondering if I should get something to help him along if he is having any issues. Do you remember if the paths were pretty decent and smooth or were they really rough with roots and other stuff? I mean I know things can change on a daily basis esp if a storm hits but trying to plan. TIA for any remembrances! jacksmycat Posted June 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2015 I haven't been in 5 years but I looking at the pictures I took, it appears that some of the paths are flat dirt paths. Others are man made wooden walkways. There's also wooden stairs to go down to the caves. I don't remember the pathways being rocky or difficult.
