Candleonwater Posted September 15, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2005 I was quoted, by RCCL, a D3 for 2 for a grand total of $3,560.50... so out of curiousity I checked what Travelocity listed that category for... $3,100.50 That's a sizable difference, so it got me thinking about possibly using a travel agent. I've never used one in the past and I'd like to know the downsides to using one.
comfortcove Posted September 15, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2005 I don't see any downside here at all, that's $460 for excursions, bar bill, spa, whatever floats your boat!
suncruiser Posted September 15, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2005 I have never booked direct with a cruise line. For the last several cruises I have used an online agency and have never had a problem at all. Was very satisfied.

Candleonwater Posted September 15, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted September 15, 2005 But what about the docs... any probs getting the from agency? How about trip insurance? If I book through an agency, I have no control of my reservation, correct? So any changes needed would be through the agency? How about excursions? TheWog Posted September 15, 2005 #6 Share Posted September 15, 2005 Docs, I have never had a problem with my TA getting me my docs. Insurance, use insuremytrip.com or similar and do it on your own. Excursions, you book on your own through RCI I believe, right online or call them when you are in the range. I don't see a downside for you yet.
