harz99 Posted June 9, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2015 Apologies for yet another drinks package thread! Here in the UK, and possibly elsewhere, we are now seeing TAs advertising cruises with a "select" drinks package. I can't find any info on what is included - any ideas from fellow CCers? vulcan1971 Posted June 9, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2015 Apologies for yet another drinks package thread! Here in the UK, and possibly elsewhere, we are now seeing TAs advertising cruises with a "select" drinks package. I can't find any info on what is included - any ideas from fellow CCers? Unfortunately, it is new to all of us. It doesn't appear to be offered to those of us residing in the USA. The only information I have seen to date is what is available on the Celebrity UK website under all inclusive holidays. harz99 Posted June 9, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted June 9, 2015 (edited) Thanks Vulcan1971. So not a very good offering then. Similar to, but less than, the offerings at Elite functions or Diamond lounges. I wonder if an upgrade is possible............maybe best left alone, though!:D Edited June 9, 2015 by harz99
hichachoc Posted June 18, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 18, 2015 Here's the info (found in an obscure part of Celebrity's own site.) kevinyork Posted June 18, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 18, 2015 Its a ploy to get UZ cruisers to book thinking its All Inclusive but offering less than the previous minimum package, the Classic package. I really feel sorry for the barmen as they now have three packages to digest and interpret. I think the introduction of this Select package means it will become the norm soon with X trying to get most to upgrade to classic or premium. harz99 Posted June 18, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted June 18, 2015 That list makes me glad my two booked cruises have OBC rather than that drinks package. I'll make do with the Elite evening offerings and the odd can of pop in the day out of the OBC. I think you're right about people expecting the previous offer.
