October weather Boston to Bermuda

YoungTravelAddict, I'm going to try and answer many of your questions on this one thread, instead of spreading the answers out on the separate threads.

The Weather will be fine for outdoor activities if it's not raining. You'll feel rather warm and humid air by Monday evening. Prior to that, it will be cooler, even chilly perhaps, but still fine for the Deck 10 activities.

You will sail directly into the open seas, not much scenic view. It'll be getting dark much earlier anyway, so there wouldn't be much to see even if they stayed closer to shore.

The crew is simply superb. Of course you will occassionally run into a crewmember having a bad day, or maybe even a bad week, but they are in the extreme minority on the Majesty.

Demographis - in October the passengers are primarily in the 30-70 range. Very few school-age children. You are correct that most passengers will be from the New England states, but there could be folks from just about anywhere in the world onboard.

Cooking Class Theme - sorry, can't help you on this one!

There is a virtual library of information on these boards about anything and everything related to the Majesty. It would be worth your while to do a search by using the small button in the top right of the screen on the main page of this portion of the messageboards. You'll find information and answers to questions you haven't even thought of yet! :p

Most importanty, get ready for a really great trip! You're going to love the Majesty, AND Bermuda!

Happy Sailing,

Pepper

Don't see the tiny button on the top of page that you refer to. Is it labeled?

Vin, if you go to the main NCL forum page there is a rectangular "button" labeled "Search this Forum" on the right-hand side of the blue bar across the top of the thread listings. Click on that and you should be able to enter your search argument (e.g., Majesty room service).

We have sailed to Bermuda from Boston twice in October. The first time, we had very rough seas going down. By the morning of the second day at sea (Tuesday) the seas had calmed down enough where we were permitted to go out on the sun deck -- the weather was glorious! The second time, we had great weather going down, and enjoyed the sun and pool decks all the way to Bermuda. On the way home, however, we had rough seas the last day. It's just the nature of the Atlantic in the fall.

Both times, we were able to go out on deck in shorts and a t-shirt, because of all the glass surrounding the pool deck -- it protects you from the wind.

Enjoy the Majesty -- we love this ship -- and Bermuda! :D
