LaQuinta vs. Holiday Inn Express, FLL?

This board is quite an education! Now I'm looking for input on this question..

What attracts me to La Quinta is the recliner in the King rooms, with space for a roll-away for the third in our group. Two of us often use a recliner for pain relief. It is not essential, but very useful.

On the other hand, HIE is very well rated and well located. We need two days in Feb. so both will be expensive. What else should I consider? Is there any thing that would push one or the other way ahead?

Thanks again,

Blessings,

Gail

Well the Holiday Inn Express is in a much MUCH better location, less than 10 minutes from FLL and just outside the entrance to Port Everglades, within short, easy, safe walking distance to many many restaurants, shops, grocery/drug/liquor stores as well as the Water Taxi.
