Seattle taxi company recommendations

Looking for a Taxi company to use for short trips in the downtown area that area reliable.

 

Anyone use a Taxi service?

 

I am looking at using it from the Grand Hyatt to Pike's Market or to the Argosy Pier.

We always use http://www.eastsideforhire.com. Call them and they are there within a few minutes. They charge from zip code to zip code and has always been cheaper than a regular taxi.

Assuming you have a smartphone, I would use UberX. Taxi drivers are going to give you grief about short rides. Also tip is included with Uber and the charge is automatically put on your card. There is no settling up at the end. You just get out of the car and go! The other thing about taxis is that many drivers will act like they don't take credit cards- they only want cash. Finally, UberX is quite a bit cheaper than taxis.
