bowen9475 Posted July 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2015 We are sailing on the 4 night Imagination next week. How do people usually dress for dinner on the casual and on the formal nights? How formal do they go? We are visiting Disneyland after the cruise and won't have access to laundry so we are trying to compact the packing. Thanks! SadieN Posted July 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2015 (edited) Sailed this itin many times. It's on the casual side of things. Most men wear slacks/jeans/dockers and polo/golf shirts for regular dinner. CE night we've seen men wearing slacks and jackets, slacks/long sleeves/tie, slacks/dockers and nicer Hawaiian shirts. It's rare to see full suits, maybe one tux. For CE night women wear nice dresses or the 'uniform' of black slacks/sparkly top. Regular nights it's capris/slacks/jeans and shirts or sundresses/skirts. Bring a sweater of some sort. There are a few cold spots. ETA--- the ship has laundry rooms onboard. IIRC it's $3 wash and $3 dry. Check out the Pacific Coastal, Mexican Riviera, and West Coast Departure boards for more info. Edited July 12, 2015 by SadieN
bowen9475 Posted July 12, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted July 12, 2015 So on the CE nights, my husband and sons could get away with khakis and polos or should they plan on dress pants and dress shirts? They will probably go with khaki shorts and polos for the casual nights.
SadieN Posted July 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2015 Sound ok Most men will wear a button shirt for CE night --- long sleeve or Hawaiian/Guayabera.

Caribbean Drifters Posted September 16, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 16, 2015 So it's no big deal to wear a Hawaiian shirt and slacks of formal night?
SadieN Posted September 16, 2015 #11 Share Posted September 16, 2015 (edited) Every night DH wears Dockers and a short sleeved button down shirt. Call it what you want- Hawaiian, Guayabera, Mexican Wedding Shirt. Many men will be wearing the same or dress shirt and tie. Rarely a jacket, even rarer a suit. Maybe one tux.
