Babies on board..what does Princess provide?

I am very curious about what Princess will provide for a 7 month old? They are charging full fare and the child is not eating a stich of food, will sleep in our travel bed, and certainly won't be enjoying the pool, the entertainment, etc.

Do they provide diapers and formula for us?

great question..

I head that they will provide baby food but you have to let them know 2 weeks in advance. I do not know about the diapers or formula. They do supply the adults with toilet paper and tons of food so I do not know why they would not accomadate the babies. We are sailing in Febuary and our baby will be 7 months too.

I hope someone can give us some insight

they do provide rice cereal and Gerber's stage 2 baby food. No guarantee of flavors of baby food, but you can request them.

Also, they provide all the juices and milk the baby can drink.

For more information about cruising with a baby, check out the Family Cruising board here on CC:

BTW, Princess only charges full fare for 3rd and 4th passengers on holiday cruises (Xmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc....). Most of the time, 3rd and 4th passengers (most of the time children, including babies) do not pay full fare. I know for a 7-day cruise on Princess, 3rd and 4th passengers pay $199-$299 (depending on cabin locations). Typically, 3rd and 4th passengers paid about 1/2 of the fare of 1st and 2nd passengers sharing the same cabin.

So you have several options regarding cruising with a baby:

1. Find a cruise sailing date that you don't have to pay a full fare for your baby; Go to http://www.**************** to find out whether the sailing date you have chosen charges full fare for 3rd and 4th passengers.

2. Go with Disney cruiseline or Norwegian Cruiseline that do not charge for kids under 2 (they do charge for port charges and taxes). I know Disney cruises actually charges children based on their age.

3. Don't take the baby with you if you don't think the fare is worth it for a 7M old.

BTW, we got a month's worth of baby food for a week of sailing with Princess.
