rccranbob Posted July 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2015 Last Sea Day, Great Cruise, Great Staff, Great Food, weather was perfect, but very hot and humid. Will review when I get home. Check in was a breeze with FTTF. Room Steward and Wait staff were fantastic. Very pleased with our Food in the MDR, ate there every night.

mhurley0504 Posted July 19, 2015 #7 Share Posted July 19, 2015 I have seen a lot of complaints about rooms being hot on the Valor. Anyone here know anything? Our cabin is on deck

Glad to hear it went so well - and look forward to hearing more details ... and maybe seeing any Fun Times dailies if you have them. Welcome home. icunrse Posted July 20, 2015 #11 Share Posted July 20, 2015 I'm following too. We sail in March for our 2nd cruise and my first Carnival. I had hesitated cruising Carnival for it's old "party boat" reputation. I am certainly NO expert when it comes to cruising, I just wanna float, drink some beer and see gorgeous islands. :)
mhurley0504 Posted July 20, 2015 #12 Share Posted July 20, 2015 We were on deck 9 in November ... it was nice and cool. ☺ Thanks! I've been on 7 previous cruises with Carnival and never had a problem keeping cool! Good to know:)

Mikey86 Posted July 22, 2015 #14 Share Posted July 22, 2015 Will be sailing the Valor August 8th and traveling from NY, how formal are the formal nights? I prefer to pack lightly and was hoping dress slacks and a golf shirt would be ok. What is acceptable dress for men and women on the formal nights? Also, when in Mexico what precations should we take to not get any stomach issues. Thanks in advance.

I still drink canned sodas with out ice as a precaution. They are cold. I did get sick on their unpasteurized dairy products. So I stay away from that. I figured cheese sticks were fried and should be ok. Nope I was so sick a few months back. Some diamond level cruisers told me it's common that passengers get sick from dairy products, since we our used to pasteurized.
