Alaska Newbie Posted July 21, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2015 Just wondering about any excursions when hubby uses a scooter for mobility. Or can we just browse some shops in the port area? Read about 2 assessable tours but they didn't have good reviews. Any help or info would be appreciated. It might be just as well to enjoy the ship in port while the other passengers are off, lol. Thoughts please.
Putterdude Posted July 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2015 On St. Maarten you could try Bernard's Tours, we have used him with a wheelchair. Philipsburg is very accessible, there is a wonderful boardwalk in the front of the town and many of the shops are accessible. Sadly St. Thomas because is its age is almost totally inaccessible except around the 2 cruise terminals and immediately in front of Charlotte Amelie. LondonTowner Posted July 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2015 We also used Bernard's Tours in St Maarten, but I had a manual wheelchair which folds. I don't know if he can accommodate a scooter, but no harm in sending an email to ask. Sorry, never been to St Thomas
