Thomson Dream - Christmas and New Year

Recommended Posts

Hello, we are a family of three (two adults and one 16 year old) who are going on the Thomson Dream- Christmas at sea / Cuban Fusion cruise.

This is our first time on a cruise so any general tips would be great. We also have some specific question for people who have been on the same cruise:

What is New Year's Eve like (food arrangement, entertainment etc.)?

Are there any onshore trips which you reccomend?

What are the best restaurants onboard the ship?

What were your views on the holiday?

And any other information would be greatly appreciated!

Thankyou in advance!

I can't answer a lot of your specific Christmas questions, but Dream was our first cruise ship in January 2013 and was so good we got hooked on cruising, as do a lot of folk.

We tend to use the buffet in the Lido for breakfast and lunch, but the main dining room for the evening meal. There are now some restaurants where there is a cover charge but we have not used them. We haven't done Cuban Fusion so can't comment on the shore trips for you either. Go with the flow, and have a fantastic time.
