FirstTime05 Posted September 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2005 Hi, I am thinking about taking a cruise from NY on the Dawn in January. I have a couple of questions. Can you leave your car in the port for 10 days, and if so, how much:confused: And what do you do on the ship when it's soooo cold outside??? How's the kids program , I would be traveling with 2 kids, 11 and 3. thanks in advance.
lovetheocean21 Posted September 21, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2005 We are leaving on the Norw. Spirit out of NYC on 1/8/06 for 11 nights - Sailed out of NYC last March and IT WAS GREAT - You only get the 1st and last days as cold weather. Those days are great to sleep in late and relax and take a nap and read. I am a sun goddess and love to lay in the sun all day and thought it would bother me but actually did not. At least on a 11 day cruise you still have 8 hot days for a great price. Paid 950.00 pp for 11 days outside cabin you can't beat that. Ports are great going way down southern. Can't wait to sail. Been on 48 cruises so far and still going.....(49 yrs old.) Dave
minivanmama Posted September 21, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 21, 2005 Yes there is parking at the terminal. Visit www.nypst.com. A ten day cruise should cost about $180.00 to park. The first day down will be a great day to explore the ship and the last day up will be time to pack.
