Could someone tell me where the laundry is on the Sunshine, Lido deck? I'm packing and I know some things are going to get wrinkled. I bring the Downey Wrinkle Release but somethings it just doesn't work as well as I'd like it too. Thanks in Advance.

Pack a steam iron.....

They will take them, that's how I lost mine. Not suppose to have irons in the cabin. As a matter of fact I've lost 2 from being taken out of my checked luggage. Not buying anymore. 2 irons out of 21 cruises isn't that bad, but $20-25 an iron gets pretty expensive.

Not to mention the cost of causing a ship fire

FYI the Sunshine has card operated machines. So it will go to your sign n sail card. No quarters.

And I liked the irons on board. One less thing to pack, but the line does get long for dress up nights

There are sufficient laundry rooms on every Carnival ship. Each of these has ironing facilities for guests.

Consider also that wrinkles are the official look of cruising.:o

Never fear my DH has that covered, he doesn't pack, he crams it all in his suitcase. LOL

Thanks for the info, I only have a few things that I know I'll have to press. Thinking I'll do that the first day.

What is a steam iron? Is it like a mini hand held water steamer? Are these banned also?

I'm thinking they're just like the irons we use at home. Mine can either be used with steam or dry heat. They do have just steamers that heat the water to steam the wrinkles out without ironing. To me hanging the clothes in the bathroom after a good hot shower does the same thing. And yes I do believe these are confiscated also if found. 4 DAYS TILL WE'RE WALKING ON SUNSHINE!!!

yep. if I don't iron at home, i'm not ironing on ship (poor dh's coworkers, what must they think of his lazy wife?)

I have done laundry once...something about a beer bottle spilling on the open suitcase of clean clothes...ummmm
