Gem dry dock

Is the gem going to dry dock in November ?

I believe we'll be the first pax after the renovations, on Nov 13th. I'll let you know after my cruise, if nothing else.

I chatted with NCL because I was curious what was being done. Their chat agent told me:

 

"Norwegian Gem will undergo redecoration of all Penthouse Suites and Horizon and Observation lounges. It will also get custom-crafted furnishings, wall coverings, original artworks, new lighting and new carpets. New furniture will also be added to Deck 11 relaxation area and Deck 12. The line's popular O'Sheehan's Bar & Grill will be added to Gem, and the line has hinted at other new spaces."

 

Sounds like a pretty canned answer. I thought O'Sheehan's had already been added.

I also asked them about iConcierge but they didn't know. I would hope so, but don't have confirmation yet.

It was added last year. When I took the Gem last November, it had just been renovated from the Blue Lagoon.

When is this scheduled to happen and will it affect scheduled sailings

This is happening this fall - October I think. If you look at sailing dates, one week is missing which is the dry dock week.
