mrstriceasnice Posted August 20, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 20, 2015 Yes, it was a woman who had lost her husband recently according to the daughter and niece of the person. How sad for them and for her that she could see no other way out of her sadness. how sad for the crew and other cruisers that she chose their cruise. mousey Posted August 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2015 Terribly sad story. If it's true that she jumped because she lost her husband...it's just too tragic for her family. :(
elliair Posted August 21, 2015 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2015 Yes, it was a woman who had lost her husband recently according to the daughter and niece of the person. How sad for them and for her that she could see no other way out of her sadness. how sad for the crew and other cruisers that she chose their cruise. On a cruise before ours going to Hawaii, a woman jumped overboard. She was despondent that her husband passed away to the day she jumped. She had been drinking and she was crying and told people she was going to jump. This was on the Grand Princess. She walked out of the doors midship on the Promenade deck and jumped. They spent 8 hours looking for her. People were very upset that they missed their first port because of it. We were asked to keep a look out for her JIC she surfaced. Sad indeed.
