Our Beautiful Breeze cruise (with pics) 8/15/15

Ahhh, you are bringing back so many great memories of our cruises. Last year the Breeze and 2014 our first ever cruise stopped at St Maarten. Our tour left us at Orient for a couple hours. Such a beautiful place. I don't think I left the water except to dry off to leave! We were down closer to the "adult" beach club. I didn't know there were separate areas like you showed here. We were at the mercy of our tour guide.

Thank you for the awesome review. I will finally be able to cruise on the Breeze in 2017.

On my 2016 cruise we will be going to St Martin and had a question for you ... How far is Orient Beach from Maho Beach? Since this will be our first time at this port, I want to see as much as I can on this beautiful island.

Glad you are enjoying the review. I don't think you could go wrong no matter what area you choose.

Did you bring Euros or did you pay with a credit card at the beach?

I paid with a credit card, though they would take US dollars. They will let you know what the current exchange rate is.

Thanks for following along. Maho and Orient are not close, as in opposite sides of the island. Check out the island map in post # 299.

Let me start off by saying, thank you for taking the time to write another awesome review!! I read on the boards a few weeks ago that carnival will be placing an invite in every cabin that has an 18 to 20 year old in it since they cannot attend club O2 any longer. I am assuming your son Ryan is 18 since he was allowed in the casino. I am wondering because my son has loved being able to go to club O2 and meeting tons of people. But he will be 18 next June and will be graduating we are going on the Magic the end of July and I am hoping that carnival is really trying to implement this for this age group. Did you find an invite in your cabin the day your boarded? Thank you ahead of time for your response :)

Thanks for reading! Sad to say that there was no such invitation given to Ryan, and no events listed in the Fun Times for the 18 to 20 year old age group. I would hope that in the future, Carnival would at least schedule a meet and greet that is listed in the Fun Times, or like you said, by invitation for that in between group. That being said, Ryan met people on his own, and enjoyed spending some time with Mom and Dad.

Jeff, don't mean to hijack. On our Breeze cruise in July our one son was 19. At that time they hadn't starting rolling out activities for the 18-20 group. He had no problem meeting folks his age just by being in the arcade and on the sports deck. Edited by nybumpkin

Once back on board, we showered and relaxed in our cabin, until it was almost time to sail. We went back out on our “secret” deck to watch the festivities. The lines to get back on the ship are still fairly long, even though they are using two gangways…..

Great pictures!

The Disney Ship looks amazing. My girls are 10 and 11, I would love to take them before they get to where they feel like they are too big.

Edit: Never mind. I just checked their prices for a 7 day Cruise. I can do 21 days at a Cancun AI for 21 days for that price.

We really enjoyed our dinner at the Cucina del Capitano, and felt it was well worth the $15 upcharge. We will definitely eat there again when we go on the Sunshine next summer.

Afterwards, we both went to the casino to play some blackjack. We both wound up even for the night, and we were back in the cabin fairly early.

Here are tonight’s turndown service and towel animal, along with the suggested tipping guidelines. It was another great day. Good Night!!

GREAT review as always - I just booked the Breeze out of Galveston from 1/22/17 - 1/29/17 for my wife's 29th birthday, partially based on your recommendations so far :shock Now I have an awesome vacation to look forward to! :D

Thanks for following along, and congrats on your booking!!

Thanks for reading!! The Disney ships are beautiful ships, and they are expensive, but the deal breaker for me.......NO casino!!

QUOTE=cruizinrican;47708271]I love this review so far but I'm only to the first night dinner at the brick house.

Thanks for reading and for your kind words. Our son Kevin passed away in a car accident in May 2014. He was 19 years old.

Not all of the Thrill Theater offerings are kid orientated.

Oh my, I couldn't imagine. My youngest of 3, Madisson is 18 so close in age. Again, I'm very sorry to hear about Kevin. Thank you for responding about theater. Your review is awesome and I read it every night before I go to bed, always waiting on the next addition!
