cruise.mode Posted September 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2015 This will be our first NCL sailing. Not planning to do any specialty restaurants at this point, but that could change once we're onboard. Any main dining room/buffet items that are always a real hit on NCL? Each cruise line seems to have one item that passengers always seem to look forward to.

Not planning to do any specialty restaurants at this point, but that could change once we're onboard. Any main dining room/buffet items that are always a real hit on NCL? Each cruise line seems to have one item that passengers always seem to look forward to. I look forward to the chocolate-hazelnut pastries on the breakfast buffet. I also look forward to a bowl of the Roasted Tomato Soup... delicious! The two main dining rooms rotate their menus daily; and since the MDRs have 14 different menus to choose from, it's hard to predict what will be offered from day to day. You will have two dinner menus in the MDR; one offers the same choices daily, the other is the rotating menu... and you may order from both sides. The breakfast and lunch menus do not change. As for the specialty restaurants, we had planned to go to Cagney's for dinner after leaving Kailua-Kona because fresh lobster was brought on board while in port. However, we received an invitation to dine with the captain at his table that night, so we opted for Moderno on the final night of the cruise.
