Rare conandrob240 Posted September 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2015 Have seen there is a 1am curfew. I have never seen this on any other cruise. On NCL, teen programming runs until 2am and our teen often went to O'Sheehans after that or they played games in the card room ( left open for them by teen counselors). How much is this enforced? If the teens head to puzza place at 2am, are they going to be turned away? This is for Anthem specifically but I guess the question can be answered more broadly for other ships. Iron-Maiden's-No1-Fan Posted September 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2015 I've seen it enforced..teens out past curfew escorted back to their cabins. Happens again then parents informed. It's a good rule to have.
Rare conandrob240 Posted September 18, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) If a bunch of teens are behaving well, playing cards or just chatting nicely in a place where they aren't bothering anyone, it doesn't make a lot of sense. It's their vacation too and 1am is pretty early for a teen to end his/her night. If programming at teen club ends at 1am, I can easily see a bunch of teens wanting to go grab pizza and talk a bit more. A few years ago,our son (He's 23 years old now and in the Royal Navy) had been to the teen club then after went to the pizza place on the Royal Promenade with his new found friends. They weren't causing any noise or disturbance just chatting and swapping stories. Not all teens are disruptive.

CaptData Posted September 24, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) On some cruises it was not enforced. I wish it was as a younger teen was drunk and threw up in the hallway. This was at 2am. I phoned the front desk and she was finally escorted back to her parents room (2:30 am). The hall was cleaned immediately. It was scrubbed the next morning again. On other cruises the 1 am curfew was enforced. My granddaughter was told to go to her room after the Teen Club activated finished. They were served the pizza but they had to go to their room. When she got in she asked if we could go out and get pizza. I went with her to get pizza and we had no problems. A friend and his father showed up for pizza too. There were six of them that got caught and 4 showed up with a parent in tow. None of them missed behaved but as I told her rules are rules. After she filled up we went to bed at 2 am. After this two parents each night met the kids a 1Am at the pizza shop at watched the kids until 2 then everyone was walked back to their room. The last night the Teen Club stayed open til 2 am. They had a pizza party until then. All the kids came back to their room by 2:15. am. Edited September 24, 2015 by CaptData

Rare conandrob240 Posted September 28, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted September 28, 2015 (edited) I am looking at the Compass dailys posted for Anthem Europe. I am surprised they group 12-17 yr olds together. Anyone found this to be an issue? Seems way too wide an age range. With two separate spaces anyway, why not do a Tweens 11-13 and let the teen club be 14-17? Seeing a teen movie night and the movie is Despicable Me 2 LOL. Not exactly a teen movie but I guess when you lump 12 yr olds in you can't even show a PG 13?!?! I am so worried our 16 yr old isn't going to be thrilled with RCCL. I hope it's a good fit for him. Rare conandrob240 Posted September 28, 2015 Author #14 Share Posted September 28, 2015 I heard ther are themed parties every night in Fuel. What were some of the themes? Did most teens attend these or did you or others just spend more time doing other things together outside of the teen centers? Did they haven teen dinner any of the nights? NCL does an awards thing the last night where everyone votes on things like they do for highe school yearbook- does RCCL do that?
jess3800 Posted September 28, 2015 #15 Share Posted September 28, 2015 They have teen dinners and Ye the theme parties include carribean, Mexican and so on but regardless your child will meet people and either join the group activities or do their own thing, either way they will love it
