Is there a phone that can be used in the ship?

We had one on DCL and I'm just wondering if there is a phone or texting system that u can get to tell u when your kids want to leave the kids club or if you and your family seperate, a way to keep in touch while on the ship? We are on BA if that matters.

Seems you can download the NCL iConcierge app and pay a fee and call or text to other people on board.

Oh that app looks great! I wonder how it works. I'd download it to my phone and my daughters and husbands so that's three charges I'm guessing. Anyone know how much it is?

One time charge of $7.95 per phone for the week. You must load the app on your phone before you board.

While our son was in Splash Academy on Getaway, they asked for our iConcierge contact info because they said they would use that to contact us if needed. Then on Epic, we tried to give them our iConcierge info to use to contact us, and they acted like we were nuts, and didn't take it. LOL!

This sounds like a great deal, if it works. I've read some reviews that it doesn't perform well, but I think it's pretty new, so hopefully the bugs will be worked out quickly.

iConcierge has been around for several years already - for some it seems to work, for some others not so much. We tried it on Epic in 2013 and based on that experience, I wouldn't pay for the call/text functionality again, but there have been reviews by others that for them it has worked better.
