Suggestions for getting off the ship fast in Nassau?

We're hoping to get on a shuttle for snorkeling that picks up in Nassau around 8:15a (across from the entrance to the ship docks). Ship gets into Nassau at 8a.

 

We don't have FTTF (although not sure that would help anyway, b/c I think that FTTF helps only on tenders, not when the ship docks directly)

 

What should we do to be one of the first off the ship? Get downstairs before the announcement?

 

Any other tips? (DD11 can do excellent puppy dog eyes :))

I don't think a lot of people are in a hurry to get off the ship in Nassau, specially at 8:00am, so I don't think you'll have issues with lines.

Sadly I don't have a balcony cabin on this cruise :eek:

We were there last week and docked at 8:00 am. There wasn't much, if any line to get off . And the local vendors weren't even open yet so it made getting thru quick.

Are you meeting a shuttle to go to snorkeling or is the shuttle a part of the deal? If it's part of the deal, they know arrival times and getting off, so they don't go on time.
