New Year's cruise

Booked on Getaway for the week of New Year's. I have not seen anything posted anywhere on any special things NCL may do for NYE. What has been your experience on NYE cruise before? Just curious...whatever it may be or not be I'll still enjoy every moment!

I've sailed NYE many times and you'll find parties and countdowns in virtually every venue on board. The ship will be decorated and they give out hats, noisemakers etc. (at least they did in the past). They also had separate events for families.

 

At midnight, we enjoyed a free champagne toast (again, in the past they did that!).

 

You'll see announcements in the Freestyle Daily.

 

I usually book a last minute cruise for NYE but this year, the prices are more than double :eek: so I think I'll have to pass.

We are taking this cruise as well...actually our first cruise ever[emoji1]. I know we will enjoy it as well, but a couple parties and free champagne would be fun too!

I was on the Epic's a few years ago and they gave out free champagne in the casino a few hours before and after midnight. The majority of the people seemed to dress up (by NCL standards, anyway;-)

 

The atmosphere on the ship that night was particularly fun and festive.
