Not a real review because im tired. The start, got one the ship 130pm room was ready ate lunch did stuff. Sailing first day very rough ship did not seem full maybe many sick? Made all ports on time, first Grand Turk, perfect weather, snorkled the Wall, water was cloudy on the second stop due to hurricane that stired the pot. No damage here. Second stop HMC, we drove the ship almost into the channel, closed Iv been in 5 trips. Water was flat. NO damage here. Had a storm hit during lunch then sun again. Next Freeport, did Sands Brewery, private tour, cheap, limo takes you, you can see the ship from brewrey, beer tasting at end, lunch was good every time. Good weather all the time in Carribian, along the Carolinas it was rough and rainy both ways. Ok stuff we did, Shows 1.5, they were not good. Comedy was good, food good, steak house messed up so not so good, pools and hot tubs good, could find chairs. Slides were working when the wind wasnt 50 mph:eek:, casino was not crouded, slots were reeeel tight, a bonus gives a few dollars, you loss or win big here, craps table had a few regulars, hot first 2 days then cold. The room was next to door slammers and rattled a lot, room 7202. nice location.Had to fill out the form to ask for ice, robes etc. Self debarked off the ship around 11am. Questions? ill try to help.

I was on the same cruise and it was my fourth time, on the Pride 23rd cruise all together and what a huge disappointment , the food went way down hill, our cabin Stewart did not give us the paper to fill out he just asked do you want morning or night service, we chose morning and that's all we got.

they did not have enough ginger ale to get through the week, with the soda card the adult pool always looked dirty , and the pool chairs were dirty, and the chair hogs were out there ...

we went to half moon cay had a cabana and at noon was told a storm is coming you must leave, they are calling people back , at that point Carnival blew the horn and we panicked and left we walked the trail all the way back in the lighting and thunder storm only to find tenders were stepped for a bit so by the time we stood in line and got back to ship it was an hour and a half , along with people from next cabana . the guest service did tell us he heard the horns and thought yes they are calling people back he called someone on the radio about refunds for cabana and they said the sun is coming back out go had back and enjoy .. we were soaked and cold no thanks ( yes that was my fault) I beat myself up all day . but it was still cloudy out at that point and i could not possibly walk that trail again in a storm if it came back

the rest of the week was awesome grand Turk and went to Dolphin encounter at Freeport and loved it very well organized

The comedy shows were awesome , the pizza guys burgers and burritos were all awesome as well .

We weren't on this cruise but were on the September 13th sailing. Our cabin steward asked us if we wanted AM and/or PM service and we simply told him both please along with ice daily and there was no problem. You just have to say what you want.

Thanks for the tip. This is good to know. On the Magic in August we didn't have to ask for anything so this is all brand new for us.

I had a bad experience in the steakhouse on Pride too. Started out fine but once I received my steak I couldn't identify what cut of meat it was--had ordered filet. It was tough and terrible. Didn't get the sauces with it served and the server was nowhere to be seen. Couldn't get water or a new steak. Very bad experience. I was there at 6:30pm.

Same thing for me, wrong steak and sauce, poor service. Chef came out to apologize, I just ate part of my wifes 5 spice rib which is what I was suppose to get, got a very fatty tough cowboy steak. Not what I was used to in the past Tried to give me bernase sauce so maybe that was yours. Was there 630 HMC night

We were in this sailing as well. My 9th and worst Carnival cruise ever. Very let down, I found myself telling all the first time cruisers that it was not a normal cruise and give Carnival another chance. Sad when the first time cruisers weren't happy when they didn't have anything to compare it to.

Can you explain why the cruise was so bad? Saying it was the worst cruise ever, without explaining means nothing.

Although we sailed the Pride last year, we had a wonderful time. She is a great ship and we found the food to be very good.

I honestly do not understand all the complaining all the time. I have never had a bad cruise. Ever. Nothing is perfect and I therefore do not expect it to be. Carnival is not a 5 star cruise line and never will be. Even people that are on the most elite cruise lines complain.....and yes, about the same things.

All of you posters that are about to board the Pride, I think if your expectations for ANY cruise should be realistic and not set sooooo darn high, that all you have left is "let down".

Have a wonderful time and eat a few Guy's Cheeseburgers for me. :D

I will start by saying Carnival had no control what so ever in some of the things that disappointed me. I am a person who sleeps if I am lucky 5 or 6 hours a night while on vacation because I don't want to miss anything. But this time there wasn't anything to miss. Sail away was cold and windy so if there was a sail away party somewhere we missed it. The CD who usually leads the activities and gets things started was the absolutely the worst CD I have ever sailed with. Some will say that the CD has no bearing on their cruise at all, but I am not. I have sailed with great CD's it definitely made a difference in my cruises. Dustin the assistant CD should have been the head CD in my opinion. Waking up to 2 out of 4 people in my cabin puking all day Monday can be a bit depressing too, one of which never even left the cabin for 36 hours, yes she had all the meds, ginger ale, ginger cookies and patches but nothing helped her. It took 2 days for cabin steward to get the puke smell out of the cabin, he wasn't the best at his job in my opinion . I love sea days, rained on 2 1/2 of the days we had at sea. Carnival has no control on the weather and I am blaming them for it at all, it's just another reason why it was my worst cruise yet. I personally was very let down with the food this time, even the Melting Cake was bad most nights. I had a lot of pizza and deli sandwiches this time around. I am a picky eater I know that but I was not alone in my disappointment of the food, others in my group were as well and I heard people around the ship discussing it too. The shows in the lounge are awful, I have no idea why Carnival switched to these type shows but they need to bring back the old ones. Now while the The Love and Marriage show is usually a very funny type of entertainment it should never be the main entertainment for a the evening. Go to the Red Frog Pub, that was the most fun to be found on the ship the Ohh La Las are a great band!!

I am sure my comments will bring out all of the haters that lurk around the boards waiting to slam the poster, so go ahead I have tough skin let me have it!

I will say this, there were a lot of 1st time sailers that had a great time and we're talking about their next cruise with Carnival. I however having been on 8 other Carnival cruises I had plenty to compare it too and it was a total let down for me. But I am not going to go on as a Carnival basher, we booked our next Carnival cruise while in board!

Keep an open mind and any vacation is better than working, you ask why I didn't like it and those are the reasons.

This will seem a tad off topic, but there is a point. We went to Disneyland for 3 days and stayed at the Grand Californian during off season. (Jan. 2015) It was a bit chilly, therefore, the park was not overly crowded. Half of the "good" rides were closed for refurbishment. In fact, everything was scaled back. Needless to say, we had paid through the nose at regular price for admission but got inferior service. Then it hit me: Is Disney is calculating total gate receipts and providing services based on that figure? Very unfair to the park visitors, if so. That said then, I wonder if Carnival puts the most experienced/best cruise directors, best chefs, best most experienced everything on during prime time when the ship is crowded & fares are the highest?

As the original poster I just want to say we had a great cruise. The sea days were rough and cold, our cabin the first night was 63 degrees because the fan would not shut off. They fixed it the next morning. The tvs in the sports bar died so no football there but the casino one worked. All the port days were great. May just be tired of the menue but lobster and beef dishes were all good. Escargo they forgot the garlic, it was blah. The steakhouse was a first bad exp with us so must have just been a bad day for them. The tendering process was much better this time.Got a ticket on lido and wait anywere to here your number called. We will do the Pride again Im sure so all you schedualed in the future, just remember stuff happens and just enjoy life.

That's a very good point and quite possible, but we paid more for this cruise than last years out of Miami but it could have just been bad timing when booked. On the upside I am paying through the nose for our Alaskan cruise so it should be top notch!!!

69 more days until my 5th cruise on the Pride. I hope things get better. I have 28 carnival cruises and I've never had a cabin steward ask me if I would like AM or PM service. I hope that's not something new and is fleet wide. If I'm asked AM or PM my response will be how about Royal Caribbean LOL.

Get ready because they come with a paper for you to fill out, you get morning, evening or both you have to ask for robes and they do a mid week linen change only if you request it.
