thedispatcher Posted October 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2015 Hi! I'm a first time cruiser going on the Freedom in November.. We are already looking into our next cruise and have some people interested in going with us.. What is the best possible way to book a group? We'd like to sail on the Breeze in November 2016 and would like to find balconies that are either super close or connect.. Would an agent be our best bet or has anyone had luck on their own? Thanks in advance!
mickide Posted October 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2015 Either use a PVP or a Travel Agent BEFORE people start booking. Once you get so many cabins booked, there are some benefits given if you do it as a group. If you do it on your own, you won't be able to change it to a group booking later. I have a friend doing a group cruise in January with 22 cabins booked for her wedding but they did it on their own and tried to change later...nope, couldn't do it. tango55 Posted October 13, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2015 Definitely book with a travel agent - let them deal with all the logistics - that's what they are there for! Terry
timhoke Posted October 14, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2015 if you use a t.a. they can set up an affinity group for you, carnival will allow them to hold all the rooms that you MIGHT NEED. Once everyone is booked they will release the extras

Once everyone is booked they will release the extras Just to clarify. Carnival will hold X number of cabins in the categories you need. Like 4C / 6D / 8E. They will not hold exact cabin numbers until each has a deposit on it. Once a deposit is made, your group members can then pick an exact cabin number. This is important only if your group needs side by side cabins or cabins nearby each other.
