escentialssoycandles Posted October 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2015 Joining the roll call for your sailing would be your best bet to see if there are others in the same age range. I know my daughter always ends up meeting other kids on board. Your 17 year old can go to Entourage. For your 20 year old, I am not sure if he could go to the solo travelers sign up and meet people that way? But no way he/she would be bored on a cruise. Sailing the waves Posted October 19, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted October 19, 2015 I know he wouldn't be bored as this would be our fourth cruise but with RCI they organise this age group to meet up in a bar on 1st night so they can hang out, , what is roll call and entourage please ? Jane Don Posted October 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2015 Entourage is the teen club. Roll call is a forum dedicated to your particular sailing. You should find a link in the third box at the top of this page. The tool will lead you to a forum with others on your sailing and you can find out about other kids,= shore excursions, etc.
jason3695 Posted October 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2015 Hi I am looking to book to tAKE MY 17 AND 20 YEAR OLF SON ON THE EScape in the summer but wondered if NCL (like RCI) do meet ups for 18-21 year olds or he will be bored many thanks There's no way he will have issues meeting people. But registering in the first day for the singles group is a good idea. Like the others said, your roll call will be able to help.
Rare cml4958 Posted October 19, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 19, 2015 On our cruise on the Star in September there was an 18 - 25 years olds get together on the 2nd day. The daily reads, "Whether you're sailing solo or you just want to meet new people, join your fellow guests for a mix & Mingle with your 18-25 age group. Cruise for a week, make friends for a lifetime!" On our ship, they met at 9:15pm at the 5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar. So check out the dailies and they should have something similar on your cruise. Good luck! Carrie

luvtheships Posted October 20, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 20, 2015 In my experience.....and I have a bunch of kids in your age group... There will be kids their ages on a summer cruise...usually traveling with family Of course most in that age group have summer jobs and start school...college....high school...sports practices...etc....usually late August early sept depending on state etc So IMHO I would book a shoulder week where the possibility of more in that age group exist For us that means 3/4 th week of June and 2/3 rd week of August Ymmv of course depending on where you live and your kids personal situations Sent from my iPhone using Forums
