toadsister Posted September 29, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2005 Hello! I have a question about documents. My travel agent is telling me about a new (to me) process of having our cruise documents e-mailed to us and then we print them out to take with us to the port. She told me that the porters would have luggage tags with them and would write our stateroom number on them and then attach them to our luggage. We have always had our documents come to us in the mail and filled out and attached our luggage tags before arriving at the port. I would love to hear any experiences with these e-mail documents and how they worked for you. Thanks so much in advance. Wendy
bobbie0253 Posted September 29, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2005 We have had e-docs and it sounds like your TA has advised you correctly. It is really very easy to use e-docs. Just takes a minute or two longer at the pier to fill out the tags the porters have. Bobbie

seetosea Posted September 29, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 29, 2005 We have had E docs for our last 4 cruises. We print them out and take them with us. When we get to the pier, porters have blank luggage tags and fill them out and put them on our bags. The nice thing about e docs is that we seem to have them before anyone else has their documents. For our upcoming Panama Canal cruise we were able to advise our meet and mingle group regarding the fact that we will be meeting at the Convention Center in San Diego and be bussed to the pier. There will be no check in at the pier due to the fact that there are so many ships there that day that check in wouldn't work. We have never had any problem with edocs.
