kikki21 Posted October 25, 2015 Author #78 Share Posted October 25, 2015 We had the blackened shrimp Caesar salad with French fries - it was good! [emoji39] Just waiting for a slice of Key Lime Pie - I guess a lot of us Brits will want to check out Margaritaville as we don't have any in the UK! More photos to follow & I'll have to charge my phone up soon!!!
kikki21 Posted October 25, 2015 Author #79 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Phew it's been a manic couple of hours & we've just come back to our stateroom to have a bit of chill time before the muster drill at 4.30pm ( no life jackets required - phew!) [emoji4] So where have we been & what have we seen so far! O Sheehans, Manhattan Room which I have to say is stunning! Food Republic, La Cucina, Pincho's, Bayamo. We ate at Margaritaville ( the Key Lime Pie was very good btw! [emoji7]) The Casino is LARGE!!!! Love the grotto at Spice H2O! Big area for shopping [emoji39] I have LOTS of photos & menus too! Even my husband is suitably wowed by the ship!!! [emoji4]
kikki21 Posted October 25, 2015 Author #80 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Lots of photos of the new menus posted to Instagram! Looks like sailaway is going to be very loud! kikki21 Posted October 25, 2015 Author #81 Share Posted October 25, 2015 The internet is a bit flakey as the 3G keeps disappearing. We had so much fun in the adults play area! Ten pin bowling, basketball, video games, pool table & what we played on was FREE! Whether it stays free I don't know as it may be a maiden perk! [emoji4] We sailaway at 7pm & we are shattered after our busy 2 days so tomorrow & the rest of tonight will be all about chilling out! 300dtc Posted October 25, 2015 #82 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Hi kikki21! If you have a few tapas in Pinchos and pay for those with your card..are the drinks still included on the ubp? Never had the ubp before...thanks And have a great time! We are only on board for the 3 night cruise & not taken up the UDP so unfortunately I can't answer that one! We don't drink that much so more cost effective for us to drink by the drink! [emoji483] We're definitely having a great time already!!![emoji4]
kikki21 Posted October 27, 2015 Author #84 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Good morning all from Southampton! It's our final day & night onboard the Escape! Today we'll fill in the gaps of what we haven't seen as yet in between more relaxing at the spa! [emoji572]️[emoji568]
kikki21 Posted October 27, 2015 Author #85 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Our view this morning of Anthem of The Seas! I've posted a lot of Escape photos already on my Instagram account & more hi res photos will be loaded up on here when we get back home!!! [emoji4] One piece of advice is if you like 80's music & film then you have to book For The Record - which is the dinner show - the food's not bad either (set menu) but the show itself is fabulous!!! We saw it last night & it brought back lots of nostalgic moments for the 80's!

We saw it last night & it brought back lots of nostalgic moments for the 80's! Good for kids? Our 10 yr old son likes shows and music but I remember the 80s' Brat Pack movies having a lot of references to alcohol, drugs, cursing, sex. If so, we can make For the Record one of our adult nights out on the ship and let our son enjoy the other two shows. Thanks for your positive review and all your posts. Enjoy the rest of your trip! Are there both Standard and Premium options? Which category are the Banquettes in? Is the room tiered? It seems to be in some of the pictures I've seen. Thanks. SullytheBFG Posted October 27, 2015 #90 Share Posted October 27, 2015 We visited Margaritaville as well but thought it too cold to stay!! Ate in Food Republic for lunch it was excellent. Also loved the boat, now safely back home it was an exhausting couple of days!

We didn't have any option re: our booking for this sailing though. Our seats said floor - these are the best seats - we were right in front of the stage. It's not a massive area. There are tables for 2 & tables for larger groups too!

Carnac767 Posted October 29, 2015 #99 Share Posted October 29, 2015 We were also on this sailing and had a great time. The roll call was a fun bunch. We're spending a few more days in the UK before flying home. Enjoying your perspective, Kiki.
kikki21 Posted October 29, 2015 Author #100 Share Posted October 29, 2015 Right here's goes, it's time to start the review properly, now that we've had time to digest everything about our journey and the Escape!:) We flew out 2 days prior to getting on board - it was a very early morning flight from our local airport which thankfully offers us a large range of flights to a lot of different places in Europe which makes getting to a cruise a lot easier and cheaper! :D We had actually already booked 2 nights in a Hamburg hotel but then the flights to Hamburg went up dramatically in price and when we looked into it, it was FAR cheaper to fly to Berlin for 1 night and get the train to Hamburg the following day so we hastily booked the flight, changed the hotel booking to 1 night in Hamburg and added a hotel in Berlin! This made out trip even more exciting as we'd heard a lot of great things about Berlin so we were finally going there!
