bakersdozen12 Posted October 17, 2016 #26 Share Posted October 17, 2016 (edited) I stayed in 2256 on the Dream, right next to the atrium elevators, and noise was never a problem. It was actually really convenient to be that close to the elevator and stairs. I really liked it. cruznjan Posted October 19, 2016 #27 Share Posted October 19, 2016 We were near the elevator on the Miracle. No noise problems.
RWolver672 Posted October 19, 2016 #28 Share Posted October 19, 2016 Take earplugs. The cabin doors have a huge grate in them and you will hear absolutely everything that happens in the hall. We've been on seven different Carnival ships and all of the doors have been solid. We always book cabins near the elevators on the Panorama Deck. That and the Lido Deck are shorter so there is very little foot traffic. We've never heard the elevators or noisy passengers waiting for them. xitappers2bx Posted October 19, 2016 #29 Share Posted October 19, 2016 I have booked a room on the Carnival Sunshine and have been placed in cabin 1551. It is directly at the elevator and was curious as to whether this would be a noisy area. I have never stayed near the elevators before and don't know if they can be heard inside the cabin. I always stay near the elevator and never have actually heard the mechanical aspect of the elevator, but what you do hear are the people getting off/on and who can be quite loud.
