flash3967 Posted April 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2004 We are going on the June 12th sailing of the Caribbean Princess. We are trying to figure out what do as far as dining times. Our family seems to be concerned that if we choose PC dining, we will end up missing the show in the main theater. We are planning to pick a set dining time in PC dining room around 7:00ish(for the entire week).Does anyone know if we would miss both the early and the later show? Also, how do the soda card work these days? we use to have a card that they punched a hole into and the kids wore them around their neck. What soft drinks are included to drink with this card? (only soda?) Also, do they serve Dr. Pepper on the ship? Can anyone give more details on Sterling Steakhouse? I have read that the service was poor. I know one waiter from a past ship is in there now. Ask for Arlindo!! He was AWESOME on the Grand! One last question, I know they sell candy and soda during the movies at night,Can one use the soda cards?can you pay cash for the candy? Is popcorn all you can eat? Rosieo Posted April 19, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2004 I noticed that someone just posted the Princess Patters for the CP. Check out the show times. We had traditional early seating 6:15 and went every night to a show which started at 8:15. It was perfect timing. The soda card is 22.50 and it is a sticker on your card. This is only good for pop (Soda) and I do not remember hearing anything about Dr. Pepper, however they might have had it. By Thursday they were out of regular coke and kept giving the kids diet coke which they don't care for. I did buy a lanyard for my card because I actually had 2 room cards. My kids were in another room and I made sure I had a key to their room. catdancers Posted April 20, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2004 We were on the April 3 Diamond, boarded the ship in the first group after the platinum, elite and disabled passengers, went straight to our cabin, picked up the phone, called the dining concierge service and could not get any reservations in any PC dining room in the 7:00-7:45 PM range. Princess said that was because they could not count on the passengers eating at 6:00-6:30 PM being finished.

david d Posted April 22, 2004 #9 Share Posted April 22, 2004 Just got off the CP. $20 for the sticker not 22.50. They use canned pop if they run out of fountain. you cannot use cash except in the casino. If you have a 7 dinner you will likely miss the early show or have a rushed dinner.
