Deep68 Posted October 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2015 Looking at a couple of oceanview room options on Deck 5 as the only non guarantee rooms that are available appear to be on this deck. I can see that 5604 is available and appears to be under the dining room. Any thoughts on this location and other areas on deck 5 as we are worried about noise? DGP1111 Posted October 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2015 I would personally have to pass on the cabin, due to location . . . which actually seems to be under the galley. I was in an ocean-view on Norwegian Pearl that was located quite forward on the ship . . . and really enjoyed it. Not under a dining room, galley, or the casino. No matter what you decide, have a great cruise!! :) .
SunnySailorBoy Posted October 29, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2015 We recently had the forward-most Ocean view cabin on deck 5, port, on the Pearl. 5500. Loved it! It does have a port hole and not a larger, rectangular window, but that made it a bit fun for us. Nautical charm and all that. No foot traffic and 30 seconds to the elevators and stairs. After the shows, jaunt down the stairs and your home. The steward's work space is next door, so we were always running into our steward, which was pleasant. At night, there did seem to be a bit of up and down motion as we cruised down the Oregon/California coast, but it was was a gentle motion... I could just tell we were underway. Never heard any noise from the theater. The other pax that we ran into in 5 forward seemed to be as pleased as we were. Cheers!
janpo Posted October 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2015 We were on the Pearl 3 years ago on the 5 floor. I can't remember the exact cabin number right now but it was a great room. No complaints at all. In fact, because of that cabin, we always try and book family o/v cabins now.
