truc131 Posted November 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2015 I will have to decide whether to purchase this room tomorrow am and after reading numerous posts on movement and noise we are beginning to worry. We have only sailed once and had a mid-ship room without any problem but some have written that the front spot may be challenging to seasickness. Could it be since it is 4th floor much less movement than say the 7th floor? Has anyone had experience with the R class front 4th floor rooms during typical seas? It also appears to be somewhat under the 5th floor Horizons lounge...I have rabbit ears and retire by 10pm so could there be noise issues ? Sadly ,not many C rooms left...other choices are connecting rooms or next to reception area.
Mura Posted November 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2015 There is another similar question here. See: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2275572 People who have been close to the reception area vote for it ... they don't hear noise from reception. MAYBE in the morning when lots of people are gathering to leave for tours, but my experience there has been that people are not loud. In general it should be quiet. Also -- I have not sailed down there myself -- the cabin you are talking about is forward. The benefit is that you are lower down ... but it seems from what others have said that you would be better off closer to reception if a cabin is available. Again, I am not recommending anything! We haven't sailed on Deck 4 ... but what people have said sounds reasonable. Mura

Mura Posted November 5, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2015 Considering that the OP is a newbie I assume it was an innocent error. No doubt this one will be closed soon.
