Cash for S&S and then pay with CC when closing?

Does anyone know if you can put cash for S&S deposit and then when closing out bill on last night charge to CC and get cash deposit back?

Thank you :) I am leaving tomorrow on the Carnival Imagination with my daughter who is adamant about adding her own cash to her S&S account! Since I don't want to lose out on my Carnival M/C points, I planned on closing it out for her at the end, get my points and give her a framed pic from the cruise and her money under her pillow the night we get back :)

As others have said, absolutely. Have you thought about telling her that you would like to use your cc for the points and she can give you the cash either upfront or in the end? Then you can return it to her as originally planned. It might make it a little easier and it may make her feel good knowing that she is doing you a favor by letting you get the points. Just an idea.

Yes, the best part of cash is it is adaptable and retains it's value until you pass it off. Just tell her to pay you after the bill is finalized, then re-gift it back to her.

 

You get the points, she gets the option to pay will cash.

You explained your reasons quite well and that's is ALL I was interested in.

I think the only caveat is that you have to wait a week or two to receive a check from Carnival for your remaining S&S funds. Unless you transfer your funds to your casino wallet and cash out at the Casino the night before debarkation.

Actually, you can just ask for cash when you close out the account.
