Are cruising on Sapphire Princess in Jan next year & have booked mostly ship tours but wondered whether is a long drive to sights etc in Langkawi as to going alone. Also is this a tender stop or wharf?

I have never cruised to Langkawi but my parents have. I think it is there is a pier. They didn't do much, just took a ship's bus into nearby town. Here is a video I made from the clips they gave to me.

Hi we are on same ship.

We are not doing any ships tours.

Glad you found our roll call.

Ok Langkawi I have not decided what todo but have made some notes

Apparently taxis at port offering tours, but if you walk further along the bridge @ port more taxis and can negotiate a cheaper price.

Cable car to highest point Sky Bridge

Tanjung Rho beach

Maintown Kuah for lunch

Island hopping boat tour just over $100 for 8people 3 - 4 hour tour private boat book @ end of port where motorbikes can be hired @ 40 rm

3 islands eagle feeding @ Palan Singa Besar.

Kuah super cheap duty free.

Hi there is a pier and a bit of a walk to a nearby hotel, also a bit of a beach. Have a look at "Dev's Tours", we have been with him twice....fantastic day and very reasonable...his site includes the activities for the day, better than I can describe.
