We were on the Ecstasy last week and it was Kyng Bea, not Brandon McLean (unless that's Kyng Bea's real name?)

My GF and I were on the two week voyages cruise on the Glory with Elizabeth Setzer.

 

First off let me say I have been on 12 cruises and always found the piano bar to be great or at least somewhat fun with players engaging the patrons to have fun and sing along at times.

 

Here is my revue of Elizabeth Setzer - She has a great voice and is a very competent piano player. She is absolutely a performer and not a piano bar type player where they engage with people or want you to sing along. She performs the songs in her own way (not the way you know it) so you can't get into it. She performs slower songs that show her vocal range but never gives a fun party atmosphere. She is a lounge singer and not a piano bar type of performer that the ships usually have. We were on the ship for two weeks and we tried the bar several nights but she just kept performing a solo act for those who came in and it never seemed to be "fun" in the bar. We have another cruise planned for the Glory and we hope she finds a venue that works for her talents. Imagine taking a 4 minute song and taking 7 min to sing it, that is her style. I think she would be better suited to play outside the casino than in the piano bar.

If you are going to be back on Glory in the next couple of months you will have Scott Casey. He is my favorite PBE and definitely interacts with the crowd!

Does anyone have any information on Leon Novembre Jr? I am going on the Ecstasy December 21, and usually the Piano Bar is one of my favorite things to do at night!!

We were on Ecstasy last week, got back to port on Christmas morning. Eden Parker was on the piano. He was amazing! His first time entertaining on a ship. His first day was December 14th, so we had him as he started week #1. He was nothing like any other piano bar player we ever had on a ship!

 

Loved him! I hope he continues with it when his first tour is up!

Is Martin Lucas Vince you have listed as the piano player on Triumph in February the same piano player as the Martyn Lucas listed on youtube as winner of Carnival best piano man contest?

He was on the Victory in January and scheduled to sign off in Feb. He was absolutely brilliant!

Patrick was on the 10/1 Carnival Sunshine in the Piano Bar. Was very good.

Knew how to work a crowd. It was crowded every night.
