markmbsc Posted November 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2015 Has anyone taken a trip to the blue hole from Montego Bay? I'm trying to find out how long the trip is and how the roads are. Any info would be greatly appreciated. We are booked with Liberty Tours.
MoverOfMutts Posted November 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2015 I'm doing the Blue Hole trip in February, and Patrice, our private tour guide for the day, said it takes about an hour and a half to get there (we dock in Falmouth). Looking forward to hearing what you think!! Happy sailing!
Jake&Amanda Posted December 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 7, 2015 We just returned from Falmouth and it took well over an hour. TOTALLY worth it though.
sonogal Posted December 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 19, 2015 I would guess it will take closer to 2 hours each way from Montego Bay. Roads are not bad, just lots of traffic. Beautiful area that is less crowded than Dunn's falls. More areas to jump off rocks into pools.

My only hold back is the drive from Montego Bay. Thank you. We didn't go. No one wanted spend over 4 hours driving there and back. We decided to do it next time we're in Ocho Rios, it's a lot closer. paradise4me Posted January 9, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 9, 2016 Ricardo is an amazing person. We went a couple weeks ago with him from Falmouth. I would say go do it because you also get a tour of the island. The Blue hole is one of the most amazing places I have ever been and well worth it. He will keep you entertained for sure!! comcry Posted January 20, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Looking for tour operators and prices. Also how would it be for a five year old? Safe? She has no fear of water but not sure how she would feel about jumping off high cliffs if there high.
browns3030 Posted January 21, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 21, 2016 Chris Linton from Chrisjamaicatours.com We paid him $220 for the entire day for 4 people. Then admission to Blue Hole and lunch was extra. 5 yrs old... Ugh... That's tough! There are some pretty high jumps.... Maybe a life jacket would help.. Also, our 11 yr old wanted to jump from the highest jump, but mom and dad said no! Our Blue Hole guide, Riley, jumped in with him while holding his hand. MoverOfMutts Posted February 2, 2016 #13 Share Posted February 2, 2016 Booked with Patrice Bailey - party of 8 from Flamouth to Blue Hole, in a 10-15 passenger van, driver for the day, is $480. Stopping for sights and food on the trip back to port after jumping/diving/swinging.
lisalisaq Posted February 3, 2016 #14 Share Posted February 3, 2016 Go with Liberty they are the best. It is a drive, but it is a beautiful drive and their drivers tell stories and describe along the way.
