Chewybub Posted November 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2015 If we are going to the beach while in port, do we need to bring our own towels from home or can we take them from our stateroom? Thanks!
ATL_Miami_Cruiser Posted November 11, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) You can take the blue beach towels from the cabin and return them or purchase the yellow Serenity towels and keep them. sweetsixteencruisers Posted November 11, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2015 They have beach/pool towels. They will be in your cabin. Make sure you bring them back because you will get charged for them. I think they are $22.00.
SeaScout Posted November 11, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2015 Beach towels will be provided for you in your cabin. No need to bring them from home unless you don't want to bring a Carnival logo towel to the beach. Here is a hint. Bring a couple of gallon ziplock bags from home. When going to the beach, take a couple of small white wash cloths from your cabins bathroom, put them in the bags, fill with ice water, dump out excess water, and seal the bags. When at the beach it feels wonderful to grab a nice, cold, freshwater soaked towel to wipe your face. :D Bring them back with you at the end of the day and toss them in with your other dirty towels. YubaSutter Posted November 11, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 11, 2015 You can also grab a chair hog's towel at the pool. Then you don't have to worry about bringing it back on the boat.
vamartha Posted November 11, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 11, 2015 As a warning, they tend to get very heavy when they are wet. I use a rolling backpack at most of the ports!
OCruisers Posted November 11, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 11, 2015 No way would you want to bring beach towels from home and have to deal with washing dirty, sandy, wet beach towels on your own! Just use the ones provided to you by the ship which are replaced with clean ones when used. :D
ooomwizard Posted November 11, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) I bring beach towels from home. Cheap, usually well worn and I don't care if I lose or leave it. And they don't say 'Carnival' should beach bums want to snatch some short term tourist stuff. Edited November 11, 2015 by ooomwizard
terri-eddie Posted November 11, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 11, 2015 We took Carnival towels ashore once or twice, but found them to be very bulky...took up too much room in our beach bag. Also, very heavy when wet. Our method now is to take towels from home that we buy at thrift stores. No need to bring them home if you don't want the bother. Lace Posted November 11, 2015 #11 Share Posted November 11, 2015 If we are going to the beach while in port, do we need to bring our own towels from home or can we take them from our stateroom? Thanks! You are supplied with beach towels daily in your stateroom. They are traded out when used. If you lose them you will be charged, but it is clearly unnecessary to bring towels from home. Lot easier to grab a used one off the stewards cart, throw it on your bathroom floor, which will then get replaced at the next cleaning. Then you can do what you want with it. Really? I thought that was what the water, usually found right next to the beach, was for.
munchkin4 Posted November 11, 2015 #14 Share Posted November 11, 2015 Personally, I bring them from home. Mainly because if we lose the blue ones in your stateroom.....I don't want to have to pay for them!! For packing, I usually use them to wrap around my bottles of wine for added protection. This is brilliant! 20 cruises and it never occurred to me to do this. See, even we who cruise a lot can still learn things.
