Hello. We've found the easiest way to get around San Juan is by taxi. The taxi stand is just outside baggage claim and is very easy to locate. There are fixed rates between the airport and the cruise ports/Old San Juan. In addition, we have found the taxi drivers to be honest and friendly.

Yes and everything is around 15-20 dollars. Also in Old San Juan the restaurant Barrichina will store you bags for free from 9:00-5:00.

There is a huge festival in the Downtown part of Old San Juan the day we arrive. We hear traffic will be gridlocked. Any thoughts?

That sounds like fun to me, might take some extra time to get there but i am sure you will be fine. Drop your bags off and enjoy the festival!
