How long for Casino to open out of Tampa?

We are sailing out of Tampa on 12/20.

 

How long does it take for the ship to hit international waters and open the casino? It looks like it is quite a distance from the port to international waters.

 

I've only sailed out of Miami and its a relatively quick jaunt.

It takes around 2 hours before you pass under the Sunshine Skyway bridge.

I would be surprised that it takes very long at all for the casino to be open. I've never heard of the casino staying closed until New Orleans departures reach the gulf. The Pride's casino was open pretty shortly after sailaway from Baltimore, and again, it was after midnight before International waters. Can't imagine Tampa departures are a huge wait either.

If you leave on time at 16:00 the casino should be open no later than 19:00.

 

It takes about an hour and fifty minutes to two hours to pass under the skyway and then you have to get into international water which is about forty five minutes from that point. That's why I say around 19:00.

 

If you have a favorite slot to play get there early because people will be waiting and hogging a seat for the second the casino becomes live.
