adamml Posted October 1, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2005 I know this is an odd question, but does anybody (particularly anyone currently aboard an M class ship) know how high the door sill threshold is going out to the verandahs? It appears to be 3", but if anyone knows for sure I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Good luck
fllady Posted October 2, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2005 We also think its 3 inches
CaliforniaDreamin Posted October 2, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 2, 2005 There is no way that threshold is 3" high. I have walked through them many times and there is maybe 1" above the carpeted floor. If there was more my wife would have never made it to the veranda without tripping. :)
Two@Sea Posted October 2, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 2, 2005 Since I seldom made it onto the verahdah without tripping... I'm going along with the 3" estimate!

You had a much closer look at it down there than I did. Were you coming from the Martini bar? :)
Two@Sea Posted October 6, 2005 #8 Share Posted October 6, 2005 Ok, I admit it. The threshold could be 1" or 3" or somewhere in between. I am opting for the higher guesstimate so as not to appear as klutzy as I must be to have kept tripping on that danged thing! Also, I am sulking that you might think martinis had anything to do with it... it was wine!
CelebrityMan Posted October 6, 2005 #9 Share Posted October 6, 2005 Hi, I'm going along with CaliforniaDreamin', I'd say the sill is probably 1" to 1-1/2" on the carpeted side, and maybe, just maybe up to 3" from the veranda decking side. On the inside I think it's just the normal track for a sliding glass door. I wonder if it's different in the wheelchair accessible staterooms? Can't recall that I"ve been in one. I've visited in a Royal Suite, and I know it's different there as one steps out onto wood decking -- those fortunate few. CM
