lowdown Posted November 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2015 Is it true that when you get off the cruise ship in Cabo there are many walk on whale watching tours available or is it better to reserve one ahead of time? We are there from 7-2. Thanks
CWcruisers Posted November 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2015 Yes it's true. You will be on a panga most likely if you book at the pier. If you want something other than that, like an all inclusive open bar situation, I would recommend booking in advance.
walkabout07 Posted November 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 24, 2015 How much could we expect to pay per person for a panga or zodiac whale watch tour of 2-3 hours if book at the dock when we get to shore (off the tender in Cabo San Lucas) in February? The prices are not fixed, and will vary greatly depending on the type of boat, the distance to where whales are being spotted, and your bargaining skills. You will need to talk to several of the guys onshore selling tours to get a feel for how much the cost will be. You can usually get the price down by walking away and talking to another person.
