dewla Posted April 22, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2004 DOes anyone have comments about these restaurants on the Carrib Princess? We are debating about which one to go to....or both? Thanks, Laura
stuartalt Posted April 22, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2004 I haven't been to Sterlings but here is my take . . . Its alot easier to find a good steak place than a top notch northern Italian. My view fo Sabatini's was that it was up there with many of the top Italian places I used to go to when I lived in NY. I can't imagine that Sterlings, as good as I hear it is, will compare as well to Americas top steak houses. Also I don't know where you're from, but again often easier to find good red meat than good Northern Italian in various parts of the country. Also, the menu is Sabatini's is very different than the main DR. You can always get steak and baked potato in the main room.
dewla Posted April 22, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted April 22, 2004 Thanks so much! I did not know if I would get any responses. When should you make reservations? How much additional are these? THANKS! Laura
azsunshine Posted April 22, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 22, 2004 Laura, we love Sabatinis, but go there very hungry as there are many courses and they are hard to say no too. Pace yourself or you won't have room for your entree! I believe it is an additional $20 per person, and in my opionion, worth every penny! SueCruz Posted April 23, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 23, 2004 I have done both and HIGHLY recommend both. Sterling was so much more than just a steak!. The appetizers alone were worth the surcharge, not to mention the desserts.
sanemb Posted April 23, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 23, 2004 Is Sabatini's serving brunch on the Caribbean Princess or just dinner? If it does serve brunch, has anyone tried it? cruiserforlife Posted April 23, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 23, 2004 Have done Sterling and was very impressed, especially with the appetizers as already mentioned.Good deal. Sabattini's is fantastic and in my opinion, well worth it although also as previously mentioned, one must pace themselves or else you'll be looking for the nearest couch! Princess does such a fantastic job with italian food anyway, how could their specialty, upscale italian eatery not be first-class? I remember eating at both when it was only a $8/pp upcharge and that wasn't that long ago!
