How long does it take?

Karen, it is a down hill walk from El Morro to the shops, so it isn't strenuous, and it doesn't take long at all. It is hard to tell you how long, since the shops are along the way. I bet that within 10 minutes from leaving the grounds you can be at some shops.

 

Here is a link to an aerial photo of San Juan. The fort is in the upper left. Maybe this will help you.
