Late flight home -what to do in Ft Laud?

On Carb Princess Oct 15 sailing but have 7:30 pm flight home on following Sat.

 

Should we rent a car? Go to beach? If so what beach? I thought of reanting car because will have lugguge.

 

Any nice hotels on beach with day rooms?

 

If went to beach, how could shower w/o hotel room?

I would rent a car and do whatever you want to do. Someone posted something about getting a day room a while back but I don't remember where, perhaps if you do a search you can find it. If you don't get a room though go across SE 17th Street toward the beach, just past the Sheraton Yankee Clipper there's a parking lot for a very nice beach that has showers/changing rooms.
