momthecruisedirector Posted October 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2005 We are taking a Princess Eastern Caribbean cruise that will spend a day in San Juan, PR. We will be there from 9:00 - 6:00 (not our first cruise so know the times may not be accurate). Has anyone taken the ferry from San Juan to Culebra Island for the day? lacruiser Posted October 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2005 We went out to Culebra in December 03 -- we were sailing out of San Juan on Adventure of the Seas and planned our trip to have 3 days in PR before and 4 after. The ferry to Culebra is located on the opposite side of the island, and is a good distance away. We had a rental car and I seem to remember that it was at least an hour to get there. It was a bit of a trick to find where the ferry dock (and my husband and I are both fluent in Spanish). Then, the ferry ride over took another 30-45 minutes. This was definitely a full day, and if you are making just a stop in San Juan you might be pressed for time. We had fun, though -- nice snorkeling. HTH! momthecruisedirector Posted October 9, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted October 9, 2005 Thanks for the info. I think we will have to wait until we are there pre or post cruise (we are sailing out of New York) - it just looks sooooo good!
