Just off the Breeze.. Got a Question?!

We sail on the Breeze on Saturday and are doing our packing now. Do we need beach towels for port days or does ship supply?

We will also be on the ship over the Christmas holiday and would love to know if any special activities are planned for Christmas or otherwise.

Thank you!

You can bring your towels from the cabin, but make sure you bring them back with you.

During my 8 day they had an ugly sweater contest, Santa, carols.

They passed out jingle bells and Santa hats to everyone.

It was fun.

Not really sure what they have planned for Christmas Day, however.

I hate to hear that the food was subpar. That can change from one cruise to the next and hopefully we will have better luck (Halloween). We enjoy the Alchemy on other ships. Don't know where we will hang out on Breeze. Did you have a favorite haunt?

We spent a lot of time hanging in the Red Frog Pub.

They have live acoustic music in the evenings, trivia to win "fish bowls" or "yards".

The food is good also, they have small plate appetizers for $3.33 each.

Just off the Breeze also and agree the food was sub par not a fan of the new American table being just off the Paradise and the food was great.. Still have the $25 for Social media we also bought the chat for $5 end it was intermittent at times..

Was it the menu you didn't like or the preparation? I have had the AT and like the choices.

I was on the same sailing.

I played some trivia at the Oasis, but did not get to the Red Frog Trivia. What kind of questions do they ask?

What appetizers did you try?

I was on this cruise so I will chime in on this question.

I tried the Beef Sliders and they were VERY delicious. It comes with two mini sized beef burgers with a few toppings and a couple onion rings I think.

I also tried the Jamaican Jerk Wings (I think this is what they were called) and they were 4 chicken wings with a flavorful sauce. These were also good.

:)

These were the ones we tried.

Both were very good.

We also tried a chicken wrap type deal, I don't remember what it was called.

Hubby loved it, I did not.

Please please please remember that food opinions are so subjective! There was a huge FB group of us...some were very unhappy with the American Table and other aspects of the food. My DH and I had no complaints really. We don't go with high expectations and we don't eat 'gourmet' at home. Breakfast on the lido dec is meh, I did have an omlet and it was fine. DH had breakfast burritos at the Blue Iguana and enjoyed them. We did the sea day brunch and had steak and eggs and it was perfect. We went to the MDR for regular breakfast and had bagel, cream cheese and lox and that was fine too. The only thing I didn't care for was the ravioli on the last night. But we never went hungry and we had GREAT table mates!

As for the cruise itself, to us, it never felt crowded at all! We had a great room steward.

My favorite ship so far and have it booked for October 2016.

Agreed. Food is very subjective. I read many reviews stating the food was terrible. My experience was very positive with the food. I do not eat gourmet cuisine either and I am definitely not a food snob, so maybe that's why, but honestly I think there was always something good.

I have actually never eaten so much in my life! I had 3 meals a day and a 3 course dinner (appetizer + main + dessert) every day. I always left dinner feeling full. For breakfast, we either ordered the continental breakfast room service (which isn't the best, but was still good) or we ate the brunch in Blush first floor (overall delicious and good quality sit-down style breakfast). For Lunch we had pizza, Lido buffet, Guys or Blue Iguana. Only on one lunch day we had La Cucina pasta bar. If it was a port intensive day, we skipped lunch and ate something as soon as we got back on board plus Late dining. For dinner we were seated in the Blush late dining and ate there every single night.

Overall, the food was one of the best parts of the experience for me.

EEEEKKKK!!!! :D I'm sailing on the Breeze next week (a week from this Sunday) for a 6 Day/8 Day B2B and reading all about the ship on this thread has gotten me even more excited (something I didn't think was possible)!! :D :D I'm looking forward to trying the American Table menu as I haven't yet but I'm not a picky eater and anything on a ship is better than at home so I'm sure it'll be great. I'm also looking forward to hanging out at the Red Frog Pub and the Piano Bar. The Red Frog Pub was on of my favourite spots to hang out last time I was on the Breeze and the Piano Bar is always great fun (so is the dance club)!! :D

Quick question for those who have been onboard recently (and please, let's not start one of those threads where people bicker and flame each other. In other words, please don't make this a smoking vs nonsmoking thread). Where are the public smoking areas onboard? The last time I was on the Breeze was 2013 so I can't remember. I know I can't smoke in my cabin or on my balcony but where are the public areas that allow smoking? Thanks!! :D

I'm not certain of all the places, as I'm a non smoker.

I do know that there were smokers on deck 5 (Promanade) port side, deck 11 port side, casino and Liquid Nightclub.

Non-smoker here but deck 5 just outside the ocean plaza (port side) is correct. Then deck 11 starboard (not port) is where the comfy seats are. Unfortunately the smokers were moving towards the sliding doors to the cabins on deck 11. But whatever. You can smoke in the casino, but not everywhere! There are machines that have no smoking signs on them. And also the casino bar is smoking.

Hi. We're booked in April. Can you give any information on disembarking? What would be the earliest we could get off the ship if we manage our own luggage? Is it realistic to make a 10:40 flight at FLL? Airfare prices are crazy and that flight gives us the best deal.

Just stepped off the Breeze this morning, so if anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask.

A little info..

This was my 4th time on the Breeze.

We live in Florida, so getting to Miami is easy for us.

We did an 8 day Eastern (Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Kitts and St. Maarten).

Wee Jimmy was the CD and is AMAZING!

This is our 3rd time with him and he didn't disappoint.

We had bad weather on embark day and it was raining this morning.

Other then that, sunshine all around.

Food seemed very "sub par" this go round and we found ourselves searching for options to eat.

Steakhouse was delicious.

Cucina was good as well, but the service was terrible.

We ended up getting our dinner refunded.

Entertainment staff was AMAZING!

Shout out to Shae from Austin and Kat from UK.

If you see these ladies tell them that "Steve and James" say hello.

Any questions?

What did you do on the islands?
