crusinKimmie Posted October 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2005 We will be cruising with 6 adults and one 27 month old in February. Does anyone know about activities for tots this young? And - how about babysitting service (who do they use - what's the cost)? We want to be with her as much as possible, but assume a break could be welcomed, particularily during late seating dinner and after.

That will determine what services are available. Voyager class, I know, offer group babysitting for potty-trained kids at, I think, 4 or 5 bucks per hour or you can arrange in-cabin sitting for 8 bucks/hr CASH. Spaces/service availibility is limited so arrange it EARLY. AO programs start at 3 years old so looks like your toddler will be too young for that. Babysitting, group and in-cabin, is usually done by people out of the AO programs who are certified and want to make extra cash, thus the need to PAY in cash. They don't have an extensive corral of people who are willing to do this thus the need to book it early on.
Tromler Posted October 3, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2005 For in cabin sitting the infant must be 1 year old, not potty trained. Just wanted to clarify. :D
crusinKimmie Posted October 3, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted October 3, 2005 We will be on Navigator. One of the rooms is a Grand Suite. Don't know if that will help or not. When you say "book early", do you mean you suggest we book the times we will want for the whole cruise when we get on the ship - before the cruise? Also - Tromler...........please clarify. Do you mean that if she's potty trained and over 1 year old we can't get anyone to babysit in our room during the evening? Thanks so much for the feedback. cherub44 Posted October 3, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 3, 2005 "Do you mean that if she's potty trained and over 1 year old we can't get anyone to babysit in our room during the evening?" For in room babysitting your child must be at least 1 year old and does not HAVE to be potty trained. If they are older than 1 and/or are potty trained they will still do in room babysitting. Potty-training doesn't matter for in-cabin. Kimmee, Since you're a suite guest, that's the perfect request for the concierge to take care of for you and you WILL get priority for in-cabin over non-suite guests. If you know which days you want babysitting, go straight to the concierge to set it up and he/she will arrange it for you. No prob....
