NBA Has anyone sailed in late Sept with teens? Using AMEX gift cards as payment?

Hello,

Has anyone sailed the breakaway in late Sept. with young teens?

 

I am cruising on the BA (staying in the haven) to Bermuda late Sept 2016. Given school would have just started for the new year, could I assume there will be less school age children which will a. be a plus with pool and hot tub crowding but b. might effect activities and making friends. My children will be 14 and 16 at time of cruise. We are going with friends but on other cruises they would meet kids their age at the club and then hang with them for the week in large groups.

 

I also have a lot of AMEX points and I was considering trading them in for AMEX gift cards and using those cards as payment at end of cruise. Has anyone done this before? Is it allowed?

They will not accept the pre-paid credit/gift cards.

Thank you. Yes, I know they won't accept the prepaid gift cards. Mine will be cards that are from my points program from spending I have done though out the year. Those are different then the pre paid type.

I have used pre-paid Amex Serve. Not sure how that might be different from a gift card. But another possibility would be to get the gift cards and but OBC with them pre cruise.

I cashed my Amex rewards for Amex gift cards and used to pay my cruise through the NCL website

I also paid off some of my cruise online with Amex (and visa) gift cards, had no problems.
