Jimbo59 Posted December 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 25, 2015 How did it work? Was it easy to re-book? Could you re-book with your travel agency, or only with RCI? Did you receive any cash refund in addition to the "Cancel for Any Reason" credit?
disfan Posted December 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2015 I recently cancelled a cruise and received a credit letter, for a future cruise. Specifics: 75% of cancellation penalty. Must be used within one year Can not be used towards deposit. Once re-booked, will not be carried forward if you cancel again. No holiday or inaugural sailings. The original letter (no copy) must be forwarded to RCI in Miami by you or your TA.
knittinggirl Posted December 27, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2015 We had to cancel our very first booked cruise! And we got our money back. The next cruise, nor actual cruise we took got back to port late. We'd made air through Royal Caribbean, and they re-booked our air while on the ship. We took the Royal transfer to the airport, and the bus broke down in the airport. Needless to say, when we arrived at the gate, we'd missed the last plane of the day. Royal put us in a suite at the airport, and also gave us meal tickets. We flew out the following day on a flight they fixed up for us.

So if it can't be used for the deposit, does that mean you need to book a cruise that costs more than the cruise credit?
